The Swiftsure Steering Committee has issued two Notices of Race for the 2012 Swiftsure International Yacht Race. One is for the three long courses: Swiftsure Lightship Classic, Cape Flattery, and Juan de Fuca races. The second NOR is for the Swiftsure Inshore Classic.
Important changes to note for the three long courses for 2012:
- For the Swiftsure Lightship Classic, Cape Flattery, and Juan de Fuca courses a double-handed division is being introduced for any race wherein at least 5 boats register.
Important changes to note for the Swiftsure Inshore Classic course for 2012:
- The Swiftsure Inshore Classic replaces the 2-day Inshore Regatta. It will be a one-day race with the finish line in Cadboro Bay near the Royal Victoria Yacht Club. Overnight moorage on May 26th (after the race) will be provided at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club.
- If there are enough single-handed entries they will be given their own division.
