Dragonfly (17271)

Name origin: Dragonfly was painted up for a cigarette video for a commercial. When she was sold to the McGarry family ,Carol, stated while sailing for the first time "boy these dragons sure do fly". The name stuck and she has been called Dragonfly ever since. New Equipment: New compasses and shrouds as they were both original equipment. Crew Adventures: 331 mile delivery up the coast of Florida to get to a yard to haul Dragonfly after purchase- no tacks or jibs for 31 hours. We arrived right on schedule! Racing History: Competed in all Swiftsure races except one since 1999. Competed in 6 Van Isle 360's. Hold records for both of these races.
