Good morning. Weakening COLD FRONT has stalled along the Washington coast, extending from Vancouver Island to offshore Portland, and will dissipate next 12 hours.

By this afternoon, ridge of HIGH PRESSURE will extend from Vancouver Island ssw’ward to 40N/130W. Ridge will then shift e’ward, with HIGH PRESSURE centered across the Washington Coast by Tuesday morning – and will continue e’ward.

Conclusion: winds will increase later this afternoon across the Straits as “funneling” of W’ly winds commences.
